Occupational Therapy Assessment & Comprehensive Report
Our initial two-hour session involves observing and assessing interactions between your child and their caregivers, as well as evaluating sensory modulation and regulation, discrimination, and motor planning skills.
You will receive a verbal review during the evaluation, followed by an extensive written report that provides a detailed analysis and recommendations for your child’s ongoing support and development.

Individual Occupational
Therapy
Individual occupational therapy appointments include 50 minutes of face-to-face therapy and 16 minutes of associated non-face-to-face work. This time may include session preparation, clinical documentation, resource development and communication relating to the child’s therapy.
Social Setting Treatment Sessions
These 50-minute peer sessions are tailored to your child’s unique developmental needs, with 50 minutes of direct therapy and 16 minutes of associated non-face-to-face work. Each session is thoughtfully matched with either typically developing peers or peers with similar strengths and challenges, providing the right level of social interaction and support.

Small Group Intensive Therapy Programs
During most school holidays, Kids World offers Intensive Therapy Programs for children who are already attending therapy with us. Programs consist of 2-hour sessions over four consecutive days, with children carefully matched into small groups based on age, developmental level and therapeutic goals.
Each intensive is tailored to the children attending and may focus on areas such as social skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, communication, independence, motor skills and participation in everyday activities.
Parent
Training
Workshops
Georgina Ahrens conducts parent training sessions throughout the year, where groups of parents come together to learn about the DIR®/Floortime Model. These workshops cover both the theory and practical application of the model, including how to understand and analyse both your child’s and your own Individual Profiles.
The goal is to equip parents with the knowledge and skills needed to implement a comprehensive and effective program at home.
Functional Capacity
Assessments
Kids World Paediatric Therapy offers neuro-affirming Functional Capacity Assessments for neurodivergent children and young people up to 20 years of age. Our Occupational Therapists take a strengths-based approach to understanding how each child participates in daily life, exploring areas such as regulation, sensory processing, communication, executive functioning, social participation, learning and independence across home, school and community environments. FCA reports are tailored to support NDIS planning and provide clear, functional recommendations that reflect each young person’s unique profile, support needs and developmental potential — with a strong focus on neurodiversity, identity and meaningful participation rather than a deficit-based model.
School &
Pre-school
Consultations
Upon request, we can visit your child’s daycare, preschool or school to provide practical strategies and advice to the staff working with your child. This helps ensure a consistent and supportive environment across both home and educational settings.

Professional Development Supervision & Mentoring
Georgina Ahrens provides professional development workshops for preschools, schools and health professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the DIR® model and neuro-affirming practice. Workshops are tailored to the needs of each organisation and combine practical strategies with evidence-informed approaches.
Georgina also offers clinical supervision and mentoring for paediatric occupational therapists wanting to build their knowledge, confidence and skills in supporting children with developmental differences.
Auditory
Integration
Programs
We provide clinic and home based auditory
integration programs to assist with developing the
active listening skills of the children including the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
